The Banker bet is the strongest choice mathematically. Even with a 5% commission, its 98.9% RTP makes it one of the best bets in the casino.
While the 8:1 payout looks attractive, the 14.36% house edge on the Tie bet is extremely high. It works as a small side bet at most — not as your main wager.
Standard tables: RM20–RM5,000. Mid-limit tables: RM100–RM20,000. VIP tables: RM500–RM50,000.
More than one way to play – all available 24 hours a day
The most standard and widely played version of baccarat worldwide. 6 or 8 decks, fixed third-card rules — players make no decisions beyond choosing which side to bet on.
The most dramatic baccarat experience available. The dealer slowly reveals each card corner by corner as tension builds around the table. This is the go-to choice for players who love those heart-pounding moments.
Rounds complete in 27 seconds rather than minutes. Ideal for players who want a faster pace and more hands played in a shorter time. Same rules, just quicker.
An immersive first-person camera makes you feel like you're right at the table. The dealer's perspective is streamed directly from the player's point of view – the most realistic experience available.
An Evolution Gaming variant featuring random lightning strikes that can multiply winnings on certain hands by up to 512x. The RTP is slightly lower, but the potential for big wins is significantly higher.
A private table with high betting limits exclusively for Hoki138 VIP members. A dedicated table manager, a more intimate atmosphere, and limits of up to RM50,000 per bet for high rollers.
In Malaysia, baccarat is far more than just another casino game – it is deeply woven into the local entertainment culture among casino enthusiasts. From the VIP tables at Genting Highlands to digital platforms like Hoki138, baccarat remains the game of choice for players who appreciate the perfect blend of simple rules and unmatched excitement.
Why is baccarat so popular? The answer is simple – the rules are straightforward. Unlike blackjack, where you're constantly making strategic decisions throughout the game, baccarat only asks you to do one thing: bet on the Banker, Player, or Tie. The rest is handled automatically according to fixed rules. No overthinking, no complex strategies to memorise – just sit down, pick your side, and watch the outcome unfold.
But do not be mistaken — the simplicity of the rules does not make baccarat boring. Every card reveal is a charged moment, especially when you play at a Hoki138 Squeeze table where the dealer slowly peels back the cards as tension builds around the table. Players who play baccarat at Hoki138 often say that the 30 seconds waiting for the final card to be revealed feels like 30 minutes.
What sets experienced baccarat players apart from beginners is an understanding of the Road Map — a record of past hand results displayed on the table. Hoki138 shows several Road Map types in real time to help players spot patterns.
The most basic Road Map is the Big Road – results listed from left to right, showing whether Banker (B) or Player (P) wins each hand. Consecutive wins by the same side are stacked vertically; when the other side wins, a new column begins.
Keep in mind — the Road Map is an entertainment tool that helps players get a feel for patterns, but baccarat is a chance-based game. Each hand is independent and unaffected by previous results. Use the Road Map for fun, not as the basis for major financial decisions.

There is a common belief that baccarat is a pure luck game with no skill involved. That is only half true. While card outcomes are entirely random and cannot be influenced by player actions, smart bankroll management, choosing the right table, and betting discipline are real skills that separate experienced baccarat players from beginners.
Experienced baccarat players at Hoki138 understand that short-term wins come down to luck, but managing your bankroll wisely is a skill. They know when to walk away – whether after a good winning session or once they've hit a pre-set loss limit. They don't chase losses with bigger bets, and they don't get greedy when they're on a winning streak.
At Hoki138, we champion responsible gaming. Our VIP programme is designed to reward players who play consistently and responsibly – not just those who spend big in a single session. Daily rebates, weekly cashback, and birthday rewards are among the benefits that await our loyal members.
If you've been wanting to try baccarat but feel hesitant because you've never played before – don't worry. Start at a low-limit table on Hoki138, take your time getting comfortable with the pace of the game, and enjoy the experience without any added pressure. Our platform offers step-by-step guides, and our support team is available in Bahasa Malaysia around the clock.
